Troubleshooting & Other Downloads If you are experiencing problems with Salon Iris salon software, it is recommended that you follow the steps below. or visit our support forum Click Here to visit our forum.
Please note: Please be advised that the use of multiple user accounts or fast user switching within windows XP ( home or Professional ) is not supported by Salon Iris. We recommend Salon Iris must be installed using an account that has administrative rights and that a single account be used to operate it. 1. Backup Your Database If you can start Salon Iris salon software and access your database, select "Backup" from the "File" pull-down menu. If you are unable to do this because Salon Iris salon software will not start or open the database, proceed to step 2.
2. Check Your Hard Drive Run Scandisk. This will check your hard drive and attempt to repair any errors. To run Scandisk, follow these steps:
Right-click on the Start button. Select RUN. Next to Open, enter chkdsk c: /f Press OK. When asked if you would like to schedule the check next time you start Windows, enter Y and press Enter. Restart your computer.
3) Check Your Database Start Salon Iris, then select "Compact and Repair" from the "File" pull-down menu. If you are unable to do this because Salon Iris will not start or open the database, proceed to step 4.

4) Install Database Drivers Microsoft has released Windows updates that Salon Iris uses to talk to your database. Install each of the Four files listed below in the order they are listed.

5. Repair Salon Iris Salon Software Repairing Salon Iris salon software can be done by placing the Salon Iris salon software CD in the computer then selecting the "Install Salon Iris" option or by clicking here. After the installation starts, select the "Repair" option. After the installation finishes, restart the computer.

6. Reinstall Salon Iris Follow the steps below: Reset the installation by clicking here. This will make Salon Iris perform a fresh reinstall in the next step. Reinstall Salon Iris. This can be done by placing the Salon Iris salon software CD in the computer then selecting the Install option or by clicking here.

7. Perform a Windows Update
Click on the Start button in Windows and then select "Windows Update." On Windows XP, this option is in the "All Programs" folder.

8. Reinstall or Upgrade Windows At this point, you have performed all available software upgrades. The problem you are experiencing is either a hardware problem, virus, or a Windows problem that the Windows Update was not able to correct. The last option is to format your hard drive then use your system recovery disk and reinstall Salon Iris salon software. Be sure to have a backup of Salon Iris on CD, or other media before using your system recovery disk. Ensure that you have your database backed up & verified before undertaking a full system reinstall.
