Just a quick note to say I was concerned about spending money on this system, as I am a very basic computer user and was worried that if I struggled setting the system up or using it, it would be a waste. We started using the system as soon as it arrived and it couldn't be easier or more self explanatory. It makes balancing the end of day, keeping my customer details and staff details so much more efficient I certainly worried for no reason it was a great investment. Thanks for your great software. We have installed and used Salon Iris for about a year now the ease of use has won over some of the most negative software/computer users, and now we are really starting to feel that we have a lot more control over our business, all the detailed reporting makes our goals and aims instantly definable. The forums help us to understand the software better and make the most of it. The free updates make you feel that you will not be left outdated the minute your buy it. Product service has been first class the way you run your business is a great example. The software has so many benefits it’s now down to us to make the most of them. Thanks again

Since installing Salon Iris in our salon, our business practice has changed beyond recognition. Weekly Accounts now take seconds instead of hours. The flexible sales reports have give us visibility, at a glance, of our sales year to date and have reduced accounting costs. The ticket concept allows us to manage our client base more effectively. This now allows us to measure new and existing clients accurately, giving us a view of history of work done, formulas, future appointments and products used on one record card automatically. This also gives us the opportunity to promote the sale of products and secure future appointments at the checkout. The before and after picture feature presents our clients with a professional consultation tool as well as a reminder of the last style achieved.
The reports available to us have given us the much needed visibility of our business, for example: Average sale value now gives us a benchmark to see where our business is going. Service breakdown reports allow us to actually see where our sales are coming from. We can now identify staff weakness, allowing personal training programs to be created. Team meetings are now based on fact not guess work and reports on individual employees with actual sales has encouraged staff to become competitive with each other. The introduction of the barcode scanner has given us the ability to produce our stock value in seconds. Product reports helped us reduce our stock levels significantly, reporting only the products that actually sell as apposed to the products we thought sold. These reports also helped us better managed our in house products, reducing the massive overhead of stocking only the product we use and not an entire range of colours and products available Our salon has just had a major revamp which predictably increased sales which are now measurable. Over all Salon Iris has not increase sales but gives us the visibility of our business which allowed us to make decisions based on fact, which in turn has allowed us to generate significantly more profit from our business. As with any new process being introduced into the work place it was viewed nervously by our team, most of whom had never used a computer before. However Salon Iris has the same look and feel as our old book based paper system making the transition straight forward. The training and support offered by Salon Iris was excellent. You understood our business and encouraged us to “Just Ask” which we did! We at Classic Look could not imagine running our business without Salon Iris and would recommend its use to any salon thinking of installing such a system. Thanks again for your continuing support

 I am really appreciating the ease of use and depth of functionality of the programme. It is always refreshing to use a piece of software which has anticipated the needs of business – every time I wonder if it can do something that I need, I find that it can. Additionally its intuitive layout has meant that friends with no prior knowledge of the system (but admittedly fairly computer literate) have been able to perform the basic functions of entering appointments and closing tickets with little to no guidance. Well done and keep up the good work.

Since having the Salon Iris software in the salon I have found it to be worth its value within the first year of installing it. This is because of features like the e-mail reminder system that Salon Iris can do either manually or automatically for you. this has managed to reduce the number of no show clients by 87% as this reminds them of their appointment, but also reduces no shows due booking in errors by the salon as clients will see the difference between the e-mail and their appointment time. also the way that you can password protect every aspect of the database helps keep access to areas that you don’t want employees to see. The most excellent feature of this is the way that you can have different passwords for different employees which means you can set Salon Iris up so each stylist can have varying amounts of access to areas. The best thing with the password protection though is that although Salon Iris uses Microsoft access the password to protect salon iris also protects Microsoft access, so even if someone knows how to use a computer reasonably well they still won't be able to get to your client list. The product ordering built into Salon Iris is brilliant as when a customer purchases retail the amount of stock you hold is automatically reduced and when the stock level gets to a minimum it will tell you, this feature is great because at a touch of a button my stock order is there to be printed out which in turn gives me the opportunity to do what I love and that is hairdressing, not stock taking. Salon Iris saves time training new staff to your way of bookings because you set up the times for each service and Salon Iris won't let you book things in where there isn't space and with the search facility ( which is one of the main reasons I chose Salon Iris over the competitors) it will tell you all the available appointments even if it is a complicated service to book in like colours etc.

I felt that I just had to put pen to paper (or in this case keyboard) to let you know that I am just amazed at how Salon Iris has changed the way that I now run my business. After years of appointment books, scribbled notes on customer cards, the never ending counting of stock at year end and spending days with my accountant explaining all the little notes I had written on scraps of paper maybe 6 months previous! I now have a wonderful customer appointment system which is so easy to use, even the juniors fight to use it, whether they are computer literate or not! I can see in an instant where my business is making money, where it needs improvement and more importantly the accountant is thrilled, because he now gets weekly reports, I’m ecstatic because it only takes me a few minutes of my precious time to produce them and more importantly my accounts bill has actually gone down because these reports are so detailed! My customers are impressed because I now send out regular news letters on offers, I even manage to send out birthday cards on time! Joking apart, I would recommend this management system to anyone in the Hairdressing/Beauty business. It will change your way of life completely, it has mine. Thank you for your continued support.

Just a little note to say how pleased we are with our appointment system. When I told the staff that we were going onto computer they were all very apprehensive, but I can honestly say that we have had not one problem with it. I only used the customer support once, and that was only to change the day/date format, and they were most helpful and talked me through every step of the way without making me feel like a moron!

I would just like to comment on the superb value for money I feel your software solution provides. As a salon owner I can barely think of any functionality that I require, that it does not offer. And a business analyst (and previous developer) for Debenhams, I find the application to be exceedingly well polished, user friendly with excellent reporting capability (with great add on SQL capability to create your own), and fantastic extras (like text messaging and gift card options). I looked at quite a few other applications before deciding upon your own, and either they lacked essential functionality or they were much much more expensive than your own solution! I would highly recommend this to any other salon.

As part of my CEDESCO qualifications I used my previous IT experience to prepare a report on the adoption of Salon Management Software within the beauty industry. As part of the report I conducted a thorough evaluation of the products from five major Salon Software suppliers. A demonstration of the software's functionality and the key findings of the report were then presented to over 20 beauty therapists and a CIDESCO examiner as part of our final examination. I wanted to let you know that my research and evaluation showed Salon Iris to be the easiest to use and the most cost effective application from all those tested.
